Default Hurricane Sandy

Did you guys in the path of Hurricane Sandy keep your A7 parked safely in the garage today, or venture out secure in the safety of quattro.

My 2 day old A7 is garaged.

Don't know about the A7 guys but my A6 is safely ensconced in my garage. Quattro wont help if your car is submerged or hit by a tree.

I'm waiting out the storm in Charlotte NC. Had a submarine reunion in Charleston last weekend. Two foot of snow and my winter set up is back home....

I just got back from the hardware store to get some supplies for minor home repairs from Sandy's wind and rain. 2 quick thoughts:

1. I love the looks of this car. I can't remember the last time I parked a car and looked back over my shoulder to admire it as I was walking away. Hope this takes a long time for this feeling to fade away.

2. This may sound silly, but I love the thumbwheel volume control on the steering wheel. All my other cars have / had a volume up or down button - but the wheel just feels and reacts better.

I was a HUGE skeptic of the thumbwheels before I purchased. It was actually something I actively didn't like about the interior of the car. Since I've had it though, those things have been amazingly useful and no where near the trouble I was expecting.

I like the wheels better, on my previous car it had the buttons and after 12+ years, the paint was wearing away...here there is nothing to wear away
