Matte Grey
Saw a Matte Grey CL65 at the place I get my wheels etc done in LA...
similar to this... except the matte grey seemed darker... like pewter.... I immediately thought the A7 done in this treatment would look nuts....
I may attempt in a year or so to switch it up.

That CL looks like a wrap to me. My wife has a matt grey car, shown below, it is a special edition Peugeot RCZ Asphalt with a matt grey paint finish. It is actually a satin finish and is very easy to clean, but needless to say I have two sets of cleaning materials as you cannot use the same shampoo etc that I use on my A7 to clean the RCZ. We have been lucky so far in so much as there is no damage to the paint finish from bird cr*p etc. Have to say I do like the matt blue finish on the newly released pics of the 2013 R8 Plus model, I wonder what that paint finish would look like on an A7. Given how long it takes to clean my A7 at the moment, the thought of trying to keep a matt painted/wrapped car of this size clean would be too much for me I think!

I saw one of those Frozen grey M3s the other day, the paint finish looks very similar to our RCZ and could even be the same paint to be honest as the shade of grey is almost the same. I saw a new matt red M5 last Friday, nice colour, is this the beginning of a matt paint trend! I agree with you that matt grey would look pretty awesome on the A7.

Matte grey with black highlights (wheels etc) looks awesome... yes the car was wrapped...the wrap texture is hard to duplicate in paint.... i think it actually looks better.. AND you can just remove when done...
nice way to switch up the car in a year... will feel like a whole new ride for just a few $G.

That R8 GT is in a Suzuka Matt Grey finish, I have seen an identical one at a dealership here in the UK, now I wonder if that colour option would be available on the A7 via Audi's Exclusive colour option range. The dark titanium wheels and the carbon trim on the mirrors etc really make this car stand out.
