Hey everyone I'm looking into buying a A7 I own a infinit m45 and had a Lexus gs430. My questions are is the performance better than the two how much more is upkeep on a audi and are they reliable? I do some work on my cars so can I do work on the audi or is it just dealer and how hard is it to get parts for it.. Last what about performance upgrades... I've been searching but would like owners opinions ,leadership and knowledge...thanks for any help I may get

I have owned both Infiniti's and Lexus and by far, luxury-wise better than both. Supercharged engine on the size of the car isn't sports-car like but enough pep to get moving.

I would let Audi take care of the repairs unless you are a very good DIYer but even that I would still have a Audi dealer do it.

As far as performance upgrades, I don't think a ECU Upgrade is out yet (probably there is a chipset but I haven't seen) but the standard exhausts are out there.

But looks wise, it's like having a model girlfriend car. I actually like the look better than the new Mercedes CLS and BMW GranCoupe.

Default Here's my take:

In spite of your current V8-powered fleet, I think you will find the A7 to similar or even a little better on the performance end. Although the hp and torque outputs are similar, the quattro will allow you to put power down more effectively. The 0-60 times from various Car and Driver comparison tests confirm that. You can also think about some ECU mods (when available) to increase output, or price out an S7 if you can't live without that V8 rumble. I'd call the A7's handling decent but not a life-altering experience.

I think you'll find the interior ergonomics and finish to be superior. There's a good reason why Audi is the benchmark in this regard, and the A7 is a terrific example of it.

As for reliability, Audi continues to make progress, although the overall marque lags behind some competitors. That said, I'm on my fourth Audi and have had no issues with any of them. The A7 recently topped a Consumer Reports reliability survey in the "luxury" category:
