Default Rear climate control

Is it possible to set it up so that the rear climate control is off by default and only turns on if its turned on through the rear control panel?

Currently the rear air turns on every time I turn on the front air control, however we never have people in the rear, so rather that rear air control stays off..

I personally find letting the car manage the cabin temperature in "Auto" mode works best regardless of rear passenger presence. It seems to reach a comfortable temperature fairly quickly and then spins all the fans down.

That said, I suppose you could go through the MMI Car menu and set the rear temperature separately to something higher than the front. I don't recall if using that menu option for rear climate controls lets you set the fan speed for the rear (ie. when controlling rear, press the fan button and adjust) independently. If it does, that's probably what you want rather than trying to set a different rear temp.

I'm not sure of a way to do it by default, but one simple way to accomplish this is SYNC on > fan button > turn to 0 and push > SYNC off > fan button > set # to your liking up front. I think it'll stay at that setting until you push Auto.
