Default Software updates and service

Took our A7 in on Wed. 11/23 for the rear camera install and the dealer performed the 97V5 recall. It updates the control module software for gateway and rear lid modules. Does anyone know what this does? They also performed the 91H3 recall which appears to be associated with the rear camera to install and calibrate the it. It took 2.3 hours

We also had our left front LED headlight assembly replaced because it had a string of black sealant across the lenses.

Yes, had my 5K and camera update done on Saturday. They did same two firmware updates. Was not aware of rear lid update. All went well. Rear camera update is well done. Glad I finally got that functionality.

I took mine in this morning and I won't be getting it back until tomorrow! To matters worse... I got a Camry for a loaner - I think this is completely unacceptable. Very upset!

I agree. If you take an Audi in, you should drive an Audi out. Never had a problem with BMW or
M/B on getting a same type loaner. So far, I have been VERY unimpressed with Audi service. I am now
Waiting for 3 weeks to take the car in for my 5000 mile service and rear camera chip.

I did not always get a MB loaner from my MB dealer. I do not consider this to be a problem. Some times the demand exceeds the available cars and then they use Enterprise Rentals

I'm more upset/disappointed w/ them keeping my vehicle overnight - I made my appointment 2 weeks ago! The Service manager cited they're combining services (Camera/Updates/5000mi), thus it's going to take longer... However, my service rep stated they had a lot of incomplete vehicles over the weekend due to a "holiday rush." I would have much rather waited, then to be placed in a queue and have my vehicle sit overnight.
