Steering
may be a dumb question. I know we have electronically controlled pwr steering. I have 2012 A7 Prestige. it's making a whining noise when I turn the wheel. normally I would have thought it needed power steering fluid. now unless im blind, I looking under hood and do not see a pump or filler. am I just not seeing it or is there no fluid and does it run electronically without hydro fluid?
it often used to happen upon start up on colder days. last week it occurred throughout the whole ride, although it was a cold day and the car hadn't been driven in almost 3 weeks.
any insight or suggestions ?

I will attach audio if can.
the sound is almost identical to how it "would" sound if it "was" low on pwr steering fluid. steering is fine, still loose and responsive, just whines when turn wheel, more so at slower speeds, or perhaps I just hear it more at slower speeds.
