Super weird no-crank no start issue

Super weird no-crank no start issue
So thought I would let everyone else know what I found, in case you run into it. Have a neighbor with a 2013 A7, could not get it to turn on at all (but the door locks worked). He had it towed to a mechanic, mechanic took 2 days going through it with no luck. I went to the mechanic's lot, plugged in the vag-com, car would not communicate at all to ECU/TCU and wouldn't auto-scan. I did a scan of the can-gateway directly, which was communicating, showing an issue with a break in the MOST ring. So I cleared the codes on the can gateway, disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, reconnected the battery. And the car was alive!!! Rescanned all the modules, cleared all the comm errors throughout the modules and the car has been running like a champ ever sense.
