It just sounds crazy that Audi is concerned with trimming costs from A7 buyers (who already paid 10k additional) when anyone of their customers would gladly pay to have the feature. It also seems that manufacturing multiple different modules would introduce additional costs and expenditures beyond having a single system when it comes to the A6 and A7 which have identical drivers assistance packages sans the cameras in the mirrors. Obviously there are a couple of you in this thread that have looked at this issue in depth already so I won't go there. But very frustrating to say the least why Audi would allow the refresh 2016 to maintain that deficiency.

If jeremymc7 says it requires a different camera module, I believe it.

Hi,

I'm retrofitting peripheral 360 camera to my audi A6 4G 2012 but I have a problem and wanted to ask you about the coding.
So I'm retrofitting the front and the rear camera only (without side cams).
I connected the 22 can high and low pins and the + and - cables. Connected the cameras to the controller. Connected the green 2 pin cable to the MMI (pins 5 and 11).
Then I added the new module 6C to can gateway and successfully connected to the controller and coded it for front and rear cameras.

However, when I go to 5F and in byte 7 set bit 01 to 1 and restart MMI - the parking screen does not appear. If this bit of byte 07 is set to 0 (as before) my parking sensor works as before (the screen shows the car with the ultrasonic parking lines and no camera video).

Do you have any idea what am I missing? Bad coding in the 6C controller? This is my current coding: 0200000101010102010102000000
I used this forum post to do it, but I couldn't get the whole parking overlay to appear: https://forums.audipassion.com/topic...0__RMDfMTzlvLw

Thanks,
Deyan

Guys, I managed to see the front/rear parking overlay in MMI by putting the car to reverse and restarting MMI. That's the only way this menu will show.
I also have OBDEleven and it should have setting in 5F module to choose environment camera, but I only see option for rearview camera. Could it be my firmware to be old?

UPDATE: I managed to get it working by disabling Byte 070>Bit 0 in 5F module (i.e. disabled "parking aid menu active"). Now the controller actives every time on parking button press, but the visual sonar sensor lines are gone.
Digging deep into this I think my parking air module is too old and does not accept any coding in regard to 360 environment camera (it does not accept the coding).

can anybody advise me what's the part number of the Audi A6 facelift parking aid with environment camera feature?
This module is not only used in A6's but A7, A8, ..
My part number is: 4H0 919 475H. I think I need same module number but with different letters at the end (i.e. newer).

Thanks

Yes. I solved it by replacing my parking aid module with newest part number module and coding it. Now everything works fine

I think it was 4H0919475AA. Before that I tried another one that did not work (ending AB)
