Default Upgrading to 20" Wheels....(UPDATE: PICS INCLUDED)

My A7 is loaded but I have the stock 19" wheels (no sport package). If I purchase OEM 20" rims with the factory tires, will they fit properly? I found a few ebay listings for the factory 20" wheels with stock tires for around 2k shipped.

yes they will fit with no problem, for reference the stock 20's are +38 20x9 and i'm running a wider than stock tire at 275/35/20 and in addition running an extra 15mm of offset effectively making the wheels a +18 offset, so yes you will be fine

FYI - Got a call from Hartmann today, they FINALLY have the 20" RS6 wheels in a +25 offset... which allows for a more aggressive stance w/ out using spacers.

Same situation here. Bought the car new with 19" AS. Purchased a set of 20" OEM wheels with summer rubber off Ebay. All is good

You were able to just remove the old wheels and put the new ones on without any issues? I'm worried about adaptive cruise and drive assist. Also, the gap between the tire and fender is ok? What about TPMS? Sorry for all the questions. =)

we dont' have active tpms sensors, the tpms in our cars is of the passive variety and uses wheel speed, vibration through the ABS sensors to detect low pressure, not through an actual pressure sensor in the wheel itself, so upgrading to 20's won't be an issue. as far as the adaptive cruise and drive assist the wheels would have no effect on those systems. as far as fender gap goes youll be fine, you have to remember 20x9 +37 wheels with 265.35.20 tires came stock on sport package equipped cars. not to mention the sport package vehicles ride about 10mm lower, so you will be fine. i have the factory sport package and i'm runnign 275/35/20 tires along with 12mm spacers in the front and 15mm in the back and still have zero rubbing, just my stance looks a lot better and the wheels sit flush with the fenders

I'm more concerned about there being an excess gap between the fender and the tire, seeing as the sport package lowered the car...

Going from a 19 inch wheel to a 20 inch wheel is called plus sizing. If it is done correctly, the diameters of both wheels will be the same. Everything will look and function the same with either size.

Here's a link to a calculator that compares different sized tires.

there won't be any more gap than you already have, the 20's are stock a 265/35/20 tire size and the 19's stock are 255/40/19 overall diameter of both is around 27.2-27.3 so identical tire size, your gap is going to be the same as it is now.

What do you guys think about these vs the "stock" 20" rims:

Seems these are 265 37 20

Will it make a big difference? Will they fit?
