Default And the wait begins...

Test drove today and placed a deposit on a factory order. She will be Quartz Gray with the Velvet Beige/Dark Carpet and Fine Ash interior. Options will be Prestige, Innovation, B&O Sound System, Cold Weather, and Rear Side Air Bags. My dealer (Steven Creek Audi) said it will be either late March if they can get into the next build cycle or early April. Computers at Audi were down so I will not know until probably tomorrow if they were able to change a pending order. Woohoo!

Very nice! That's a beautiful color on the A7. One warning on the velvet beige interior is that the mats show dirt very easily. I have a set of black "stock" mats on order, and hope they won't look too off. Hey, if that's the worst I can complain about, then life isn't too bad!

If you have a choice, ask for the rear shelves to be black, not beige. The sun reflects on the light shelves in the rear window (personal experience).

Default Thanks for the advice!

I plan on getting the black rubber all-weather mats for the front and back. I have a similar set in my allroad and the work very well in trapping dirt and water. I am not sure about getting the rear cover in any other color than what comes with the interior. I also plan on getting the rear windows tinted, so hopefully that will cut down on the glare.

You'd be amazed on what options are available to you for your order. You should take the issue seriously about the back cover vs glare. At any rate, you're informed now. Enjoy the wait!

Just got a reply from my dealer. The only way the shelf and cargo cover can be changed is by the customer ordering one from the parts department. Hopefully window tinting will cut down on the glare as I will go that route first. The car I drove yesterday had a black interior and it was overcast so I did not notice it. I hope Audi addresses this as this has been mentioned in the forums as well as written reviews. Maybe an exchange program or discount?

Also found out that the dealer missed the March build and I am now looking at an April delivery.

I had mine changed to black right before production. I don't see why they can't change it at this point!

Hey Peter.
I tried to buy that exact car, except for the color that they had back in October and they would not deal on it so I ended up at Audi Monterey and purchased there.

Thanks Joe. Since I am not in any big hurry, I am willing to wait and get exactly what I want.
