Worth the wait!
snagitseven - Fantastic response! Thank you very much (and based on all the posts of yours I have read over the last 6 months I would expect nothing less from an individual of your caliber.)
feralc - Its the single turbo 240 HP model. Humm.. bi-turbo. Wife won't understand but now that I have been bit by the bug never know when the next event will happen.
GoSooners14415 - Daytona Gray w/ all black interior (found the same build on a dealer lot w/o the black headliner.. didn't work for me so did factory build)
1 Audi does not offer the bi turbo version with 313ps (308hp) in the United States
2 the pricing of the 240hp diesel is more than the gas version (starting at 69,800usd for the diesel and 67400usd for the gas)
In the UK the 245ps (240hp) is at the same price level than the gas version (53,250 gbp for the gas and 53,150 for the diesel) and the most expensive of the line is indeed the bi turbo version at 56,795 pounds.
I am just comparing the difference between the models of course the cars in the UK are way more expensive in dollar terms.
And I believe in Norway they are in 6 digits territory.
2. I believe that the DPF and AdBlue systems cost some money over the TFSI counterpart. The extra sound deadening panels and the special fuel injectors add more cost to the car. The key to the parity in GB is that diesel fuel is cheaper than gasoline, so the sales probably dictate price to be competitive among BMW and MB shoppers.
I purchased two new cars in the last 12 months. Both JD Power surveys I received had one interesting and repulsive survey question: "I'm willing to pay more for an economical car." I gave that a big fat no. That gave me the impression that US auto sales are looking to gouge any way they can for economy. Take a look at the extra tax levied against electric cars for 2014.
A stock A6 3.0 TFSI in Australia starts at $115k. The 3.0 TDI starts at $108k.

The Audi A7 3.0 TDI Biturbo costs from $148,600 AUD!!!

Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans
It's my highway car and X Pel ultimate was installed on my front bumper, lights, full hood and rearview mirrors. I have Daytona pearl gray and you can't tell anything is on it.
Also installed ClearPlex on the windshield. You do get a bit of ghosting but I would do it again.
Two weeks after install I got hit with a shower of gravel from a construction truck that would've severely dented and chipped my paint and cracked my windshield . I got away with only a small dent in the hood - totally worth it.
I then scraped 18" of the front bumper while backing my car in on a white trim piece on my garage. Replaced a small section of the XPel and the car paint was untouched -looks like new!
