Battery Replacement - 2019 A7
I tried searching but nothing.
I have a 2019 Audi A7 were the battery has failed. Money is tight so I have some questions.
1) Could this be still under warranty?
2) Is the battery located under the spare wheel in the trunk / boot?
3) Is there a guide to removing the carpet in the rear?
4) Can I do this job myself?
5) Will disconnecting the existing battery make any components lose settings etc?
Thanks and sorry for all the questions.
graham.
Most likely not, they come with 2 to 3 year warranty.8 year/100,000 mile if its electric car battery such as tfsi-e and fully electric. Contact your audi dealer for exact information.
2) Is the battery located under the spare wheel in the trunk / boot?
Depends which battery has failed. Lithium battery (12v vs 48v) is in the engine bay, and AGM battery is rear boot behind wall that has has lid. ( do not mess with 48v batteries, very risky)

3) Is there a guide to removing the carpet in the rear?
You dont need to remove carpet. Please specify what car? Unless you are talking about electric a7? 50 or 55 tfsi-e?
4) Can I do this job myself?
Only if its about AGM battery. Need VCDS / OBD11 to re-code new battery, but car will start and drive without. Overcharging may happen if not done, and may damage new battery if left undone.
5) Will disconnecting the existing battery make any components lose settings etc?
Partially, but some settings are stored.
Are you certain battery is done, maybe you are actually facing issues from failed alternator? Nearly all C8 a6,a7 faced failures with it.
