2001 S8 Key Problem - Help Please!
I purchased a new key for my 01 S8 and fitted it to an extra audi remote. I followed the programming instructions like I have done successfully several times in the past, both for this S8 and my previous A8.
This time however, the main key (the one that was already programmed) totally stopped working after trying to program the 2nd key. The 2nd key also also did not get programmed. Maybe the main key got erased somehow?
Now I have 2 keys that dont work.
So, how do I reprogram the orginal key when I do not have a working key?
Also, when I start the car with the orginal key it works fine. When I start he car with the new key, it also starts the car but shows a blinking key symbol on the dash outlined by a car. Not sure what this means.

Re: You can program it to open the door, but the immobilizer has to be programmed by the dealer.
how do i program it to open the door with only one remote?
is it possible for the remote to become erased?
