5HP19 downshift problems.
Audi A8 D2, 3.7. Transmission problems I tried to fix by replacing the torque converter (code P0741), solenoids, pulse counter and transmission temperature sensor. Everything worked fine except for one issue: upshift is fine and it does as it should, but when applying brakes the gears change erratically with little bumps and you have impression as if there is no order, especially if it downshifts from 4/5 th to the full stop. I though that it was a problem of the brake switch but my D2 has only 2 connectors on the brake switch that control the lights only. So, I excluded this option. VCDS does not show any errors ever since in the transmission connected with the TC clutch lock-up, but it is obvious that when downshifting the gears change with small bumps and even sometimes. The last bump to the full stop is quite noticeable.
So, I I began to think that it could be the throttle or TPS, but if it upshifts correctly what could cause the reverse operation, I mean downshifting.
Please help to understand if I am on a correct path thinking that the problem could be the throttle valve with TPS.
Any ideas would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
