A8 wheel offset
I know this topic has been punted around on the list many times. So here I go again. Some might say that I am crazy for this suggestion. Why can't a 19 x 8 with a 18 offset work on a 2000 A8. I currently have 18 x 8 with a 40ET the 19" rim will sit out 22mm further. Which will bring it right to the very very edge of the fender/wheel well. Everyone seams to think that a 35 is the correct ET. However i want a very very aggressive look and the 35ET sits in quite a bit. Please give me your input. Thanks!!

There is a slight chance that it could rub the front fender when turning.....this year I ran my ET 35 A6 wheels with 15mm spacers in the front only to see if I would do better in the auto X.
Plus with the BIRA hat being 3mm thicker than a stock rotor, it was an effective ET of 17mm.
It looked stupid and didn't perform well. I think I could feel it in the wheel bearings also.
But if you want to do it, go ahead. Personally, I would not buy ET 18 wheels. Why not buy some 30mm spacers first and put them in your front wheels, see if you like it....that's what you'll be doing.

What do you mean by:

I have std. 17" Audi wheels, with 20mm spacers on side (F & R). Maybe there is something special I shall look into?
