Air con problem (again)
Hi,
This sunday I drive with big sun and I can't have fresh air in Auto mode, only OK in manual...
Today, After scan my car with my VAGCom 303.1
no error is coming...
And I test some actions :
On car stopped, motor stopped, only contact ON ;
External Temp = 15°C
in auto mode, air flow is OK from LO to HI
In Manual mode , air flow is OK from LO to HI
BUT : when recirc button in ON, (Auto mode or Manual mode) I can ear flow of air into dashboard, but no air is coming in the car ???
I understand nothing.
Have you an Idea ?

Try this
Using vag-com, go to HVAC, then go to output tests. Do an output test and it will run all the dampers from one end to the other.
After it is complete (it counts down from 90 or something like that), check for fault codes and post them.
I think one of your dampers/electric motor is bad.

I had the exact same problem when I first got my car. Turned out to be the center
flap motor. Try to cycle them through as Paul suggests. If not, it's maybe an hour to replace it. Part was around $100 US dollars if I recall.

After an output test, no error... perhaps it's not an
electric problem, why not a platic piece like an arm which push/pull a flap ???
I say that because I can ear electrical motor when I active the recirc button and after that no air flowing in car.
Is this motor control multiple flaps ??
