Can 255/50/19 fit nice w/o rubbing on my 97 A8?
Secondly...you CANNOT PUT ON 255/50/19's on your car....what are those for....a truck????
The outside diameter (OD) of a stock A8/S8 wheel is roughly 26.7"....
The OD of the a 255/50/19 is 29.0"!!!! That's way too big and will rub!
You need to figure out what your offset is....and then look at this tire size calculator and use 245/45/18 as the stock size.
Also, you need to look at audipages tire size options. You are trying to match the OD of the stock tire with your new width on a 19" wheel.
It does show a 255/35-19 as 2% smaller OD than stock....it would look really silly on your car...so I don't know what your options are....you could do a 245/40-19 and get a perfect match to the stock OD.
I don't know if they make a 255 width with a 19" rim that matches the OD of the stock A8/S8.
So what is the offset of the wheel? You have 9.5" rims, that's already going to add 0.75" on the inside and outside of the rim...if you have an offset of 48, which I doubt they are....if they are et35 or et32, you should be just fine.
