Code Reader+ for 2001 A8L
I need some education on OBD - I have to invest in an OBD code reader. I'd like to get one that's compatible with my current '01 A8 (there will be future Audis), and I'd prefer the unit to be able to read some other vehicles: Acura, Lincoln, Ford., if possible
And if it does more than passively showing / clearing codes,.. possibly make adjustments, that would be preferred, but not required
My Audi tech (private) always pulls out a laptop with w/ OBD connection that seems to give him all sorts of great diagnostics, tweaks.....Is that a viable option for the weekend mechanic with intermediate skills?
