CV Boot on Prop / Driveshaft torn.. PN for replacement

The rubber boot on the prop shaft is torn, at the back of the transmission. I injected in some CV grease and it immediately stopped the noise but of course this needs to be fixed.
Cannot find just the rubber boot on Vag car however.. any tips?

But the CV comes off the shaft the same way as the rear inner CV's, though. It floats back and forth on the shaft the same way (to take up/let out length with suspension movement):
With CV detached from drive flange (at trans), there is a circlip fitted into a groove on the shaft that holds the CV on. You must clean enough grease out of the joint to see the "eyes" on the circlip, so you can fit circlip pliers to expand the clip long enough to slip the CV off the shaft. Putting it back in involves putting CV on first, then pushing on circlip until it snaps back into it's groove. All the same as replacing an inner axle shaft CV.
Of course, the propshaft must be dropped enough to access this (or removed)...cat(s) out of the way, central shield, central bearing, etc...

This might be a good time to, again, consider setting the car ablaze and sending it over a cliff, WHILE filming the spectacle. You could sell the footage to a movie company AND collect insurance $$...don't let the ins co see the film, though

...sorry...couldn't resist.

My A8 also had a joint get noisy on the transmission end of the driveshaft. On a 2500 mile road trip I heard a similar noise.
Mine made a clanging noise when parking and low speeds, then at high speeds it chirped too.
Mine hadn't leaked, but had been pulled by the dealership when they did the transmission swap under warranty at 38k miles. It appeared they wiped the grease off and never repacked the joint when installing the transmission. (There was even a piece of a broken Torx socket in the joint!?)

Luckily I was in the Chicago area and dialed up Tozo (Gabor) and we met at his shop to confirm the issue..
I then shot up to Wisconsin and picked up a good used driveshaft at a wrecker. ($200) Stopped at the local advanced auto to purchase triple square sockets and metric allen drive sockets.
Replaced it in my wife's uncles Garage while her family partied.
They were impressed.
Once I got home I ordered two tubes or audi CV grease and repacked the joints on the new (used) driveshaft.
All has been quiet since

Two thumbs up for Tozo though he know his way around a D2!

Since 034 is responding to inquiries from the Allroad group, maybe they'd do similar work for the A/S8ers???
