Driver's Window Thump

When the window goes about 3/4 of the way down in my 97 A8Q it makes a lite thump sound. It does not inturupt the flow of the window but it something I want to get fixed before it gets worse. Any share this problem or have any ideas?

both of my front windows do the same so oddly, I thought maybe this was normal

My drivers window has done the same thing for a year.

never found the problem.

"Thump" sound

Don't worry about it. Look at the front windows and you will see round black inserts in the glass. They stick up above the surface of the glass and go through the glass and ride in a trac on the inside. As the window is lowered the black projections can make a sound as they are lowered past the outside rubber weather seals on the door. Some wax may quiet the "thump".
