Default few codes on my a8

These are the codes i just got. the EVAP is a new code, could that just be a vacuum leak?

And the codes for the AC i always get,What should i do? I can hear it blow, but for some reason it would blow strong cold air for 30 seconds and the next minute i can still hear the fan blowing but can't feel it, and its warm. I'm guessing the flaps close..

And also the ABS codes are new. any ideas?

VSDS (VagCom) is kind of useless if you don't have a Bentley manual...all of those codes lead directly to a solution.

Large leak: hose split or loose somewhere in the EVAP system or possibly a seal on the gas tank where pump assembly or level sensor are attached..detected by the leak detection pump, which runs a diagnostic every time you start the car...and periodic checks after that.

The AC codes are leading you directly to the cause....see manual for location and disassembly/testing instructions.

The ABS code is a wheel speed sensor problem...Unless you have different size tires at the same time, ABS wheel sensor(s) (or the CV joint slotted rotor it reads) are dirty, faulty, installed incorrectly or wiring to them interrupted/shorted.

To do your own work requires the proper tools...if you don't have a manual, you do not have the proper tools.

I completely agree with silverd2: the recirculation motor is not moving or is weak. I just diagnosed this EXACT problem on my 2000 A8. My solution besides buying a brand new motor for about $130 (genuineaudiparts.com) was to search ebay for a good used one. I ended up paying $46. In any case, I completely disassembled my old one, tried swapping motors, circuit boards, everything. My conclusion is that the recirculation motor is more susceptible to wear and fatigue caused by the heat cycling that occurs in the under-hood enviornment. It could just be that the motor gets used more than the others and simply wears out. In either case, the two motors that are under the hood are identical, the other 8 motors inside the passenger compartment are identical.

Here is the part number for the air recirculation motor : 4D0 820 511

By the way, the motor can be removed without it being a huge pain. All you really need is a very long shaft #2 phillips screwdriver. Remove 2 short screws that attach the cover OVER the motor, and then two long screws that actually hold the motor. Once you remove and replace the motor, you will need to reset/calibrate/adapt it using a VAGCOM.

Hope this fixes it for you. By the way, I highly recommend you verify that your air recirculation door hinges are free to move.

thanks for the advice, i actually have a junk yard in my town, and its funny because people don't have a clue for whatever parts your looking and they just name a random price(mostly for the better)
last week i bought 4 motors for the ac flaps, plus a bunch of little stuff i had missing like the cigaret lighter and stuff, all for 35 bucks, and he had no idea what it was for. So i am guessing i can get an even better deal than the one on ebay, but thanks for the advice.
