Front diff fluid change?

Front diff fluid change?
I was changing my rear diff fluid this morning when it occurred to me that the A8 which replaced my Benz has a front diff that the Benz did not. I thought hopefully, "Maybe they filled it with some of that Lifetime Fluid they use in the trannies!"
But I didn't want to be naive, so I looked at the front diff, and it doesn't have a drain plug (hey, maybe it IS Lifetime Fluid...nahhh). Has anyone changed the fluid in theirs? It looks like a suction job. And does anyone know what fluid it wants? Same as rear, or is this a subtle trap laid by the Audi gods? Calling all hands, calling all hands. Thanks.

Front diff gear lube change
Did my 97 A-8 a year or so. Used a drill motor fluid pump from auto parts store with my cordless 3/8 drill. Also works well with trans fluid. Mob 1 75-90 for me with front and rear diffs. john

Re: Buy a cheap syringe at any auto store and suck it out with a long tube...
it works better when the car has been driven and the fuild is warm. When you can no longer get more fuild out replace with a good synthetic Mobil/Amsoil 75-90 gear lube.
