Default Not easily, but pretty easy

Because you don't have the Concert radio (you have a Delta) you have to change a few wires around and run a K line to the unit by tapping into the climate control K line wire.

You won't be able to use your CD changer because it needs the 13 pin changer, but you can sell it on ebay for $350 or so....then get a Blitzsafe adaptor and use an iPod or take the $350 and buy a 13 pin changer plus a new CD changer cable.

Default Paul... an interesting discovery...

If you get the Navi C console with the switches.. you need to supply a new hazard switch.. the ocne suppied with mine ended with an A where the stock 97 switch ended in a B... i noticed that the hazard switch that came with the console didnt have a relay in it and my blinkers just stayed on..

Default Was just going to use the existing switch on my buddie's A8

Did you undo the mod on the emergency flasher relay in the relay panel from the facelift switch? This mod?

Hi

instead of creating new thread on the same topic I will ask here.. Maybe someone can help with few questions regarding A8 pre facelift navi plus installation.
Long story short, currently I have concert I radio with CD changer (no multifunction steering wheel). And now I have quite a good opportunity / offer to get Navi Plus (square) unit practically free from pre-Facelift D2 along with Fascia, temperature sensor hose and frame .
I assume I would not have any problems to fit parts as it was mean to fit in the pre Facelift car. Though I don't have a lot of experience for electrical (cabling) part of making it work.
My only goal is to make radio and display work, as neither Navigation nor telephone funcionality is needed, and of course there is no need for multifuncion wheel controls (as its not present in the car).
So my first question is - can this navi plus unit work atleast for radio display not being connected to navigation unit , telephone unit, tv tuner unit (as they are not present, nor will be in the car). I do recall some other navigation / radio display units from other cars which were not working at all when navigation unit / computer stopped working, so I am curious if this will be the same for this one or not. Or maybe it will constantly pop-up error on the screen that navigation unit not found (for example)
As the donor unit is not yet removed from the car I dont really know if its RNS-C or D unit, though probably the wiring is the ~same for them? I've only found this sample from RNS-D unit from pre-face lift D2
And if its correct scheme, my car dont have this 26pin connector (marked in blue) and mine has other 10pin connector which is not present on the RNS-D model (also marked in blue) .
And as I've said before - I do lack basic knowledge on what contacts are needed from 26pin connector for this unit radio to work. This might be simple for anyone who've done similar work before, unfortunately not me
Is this easily "doable" ?
