S8 ECU Chips?
From STFA, I've found leads for
-- GIAC
-- MTM
-- Sportec
Seems all give you about 20HP and better response. Are any/all of them detectable by the dealer? I thought that MTM's were not, but can't find information to verify this.
If you have any personal (1st hand, not a friend of a friend of friend...) experiences, please post them.

I just installed a chip
from PowerChips, I think you might be able to get them to do it for free for you.
My take on it: It does nothing.
Many a chip tuner will change how the car reacts at one part of the band, but it will change at the other part, and most likely not the way you want it to.
You have to remember, you're already getting 360 HP out of a 4.2 liter engine.....the only way that you are really going to get more power out of it is to add more air via supercharging, turbo charging, or heavy duty flow work and exhaust. When that happens, you can add more fuel and you'll have more power.
I would go for an exhaust first, you'll find power in that.

I heard Sportec's chip is good.
There is a guy on here that had it. He said that he did the Sportec chip and the Tip Chip and it made a nice difference.

Guy in Northern New Mexico did it as well, can't remember his signon..he
may chime in and give you some feedback. I believe he has said in the past that "D" is now like "S" and "S" is wickedly fast. I'm holding off until my warranty is up, but then it's go time.
