Speedometer/mileometer

Hi,
Have anyone experienced a problem with their speedometer? Yesterday morning when I started the car the speedometer was reading DEF. and it showed that the car had only been driving 199 km in total. Since my A8 is from 2000 and was used when I bought it and I have been driving in it for 2Â½ years I know that is not rigth. Talked to different Audi mechanics in Denmark and Sweden, but none of them have ever heard of this problem

Uh oh...

Here's what the Bentley says:

If the instrument cluster control module recognizes a malfunction in the DTC memory "dEF" is displayed.

If "dEF" is displayed, replace the instrument cluster.
