Default Is there a switched power source in the trunk (ideally with radio)

I'm currently attempting to use a 'BlitzSafe AUDI/AUX DMX V.1' to intercept the CDC in the trunk and plan to hook that up to a stereo blue tooth device so I can stream audio from my iPhone.

The problem right now is that I can't seem to find a switched power source in the trunk for the blue tooth streaming audio device. Any pins I throw my multimeter on (going to CDC or the GPS) seem to be live all the time. Also all the fuses above the battery seem live all the time (i.e. live when the ignition is on).

Can anyone point me in the direction of finding some switched power I can tap into in the trunk - ideally one that is only powered when the radio is on?

Is everything live because I'm doing my probing around while the trunk is open?

Thanks,

Joe

Does each speaker have its own amp (they way Bose used to do it in older cars)? Or is it one amp. Where's the amp located? I'm looking for the same switched power for the amp to a sub-box.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction (I'm assuming the Bose amp is the amp looking thing under the metal mount for the CDC and GPS). I noticed it was a hard to get off connector (i.e. I have't been able to get it off yet). You wouldn't happen to know which wire to tap into?

Thanks again,

Joe

Well I finally have my iPhone streaming audio (by stereo bluetooth - A2DP) via the CDC input. The Bose amp was a good place to intercept to get switched power. I used the thick brown wire as ground and the thinner white wire beside it for +12. Not much space to get to remove the amp connector, so ended up unbolting the amp to get more room. The connector has a clip on the top and the bottom pivots out quite a bit before it can release (took a while to figure that out while fumbling in the closed space).

you've got it right on the money. White is remote.
I actually removed my bose amp and speakers but reused all of the existing wiring.

Glad it worked out for you.
