Tranny random surges...finally able to replicate!

So ever since I had my transmission rebuilt I have experienced an odd "surge" when upshifting from 3rd to 4th gear. Instead of shifting smoothly into the next gear, the tranny will seem to hang, the rpms will rev up, sometimes to about 3k and then it will thump into 4th gear. I have finally been able to recreate this almost every attempt by switching to TIP and downshifting from 4th to 3rd and then upshifting back to 4th. Every time I get the rev and slam. Tozo, Paul, etc...any thoughts as to what this might be? The trans has always been a little rough since the rebuild and Tozo, you've even spoken to the guys that did the rebuild, but the shop says its mechanically 100%...which i dont believe. Its not terrible but its irritating and sometimes embarassing. HELP ME.

Sounds like the torque-converter slipping.

could this be electronics related or mechanical?

i bought a new TCU from PaulW and I currently have it coded to 00002. Had it at 00001 and it act very strange...ie. refuse to upshift well over 4k under heavy throttle...even when off the gas. Tozo, you talked to the shop guys and thought it wasnt the ValveBody...do you think they might not have replaced clutch B when they did the rebuild? I know I trashed clutch A. I am getting the feeling that they only replaced what they deemed "necessary" and left things alone that "looked ok".
