Transmision coding?
Hello,
Mine transmission has broke down, so I changed transmission and transmision controller (ECU I think). Before change on dashboard I had gears "PRNDS", now I have "PRND432", Sport mode is missing and gear changin on steer doesn't work.
My question is, do I have to reprogram the controller to get back working as normal? Or I have to put my old controller? Is it interchangeable?

I'm still learning about these cars, but I have read that some early D2s did not have the shifting on the steering wheel. You may have an older transmission/TCU that was not programmed for it. Can you post more detail about your car and the replacement transmission? Manufacture date?
Someone who knows more than me can probably answer your question easily if you can post the info from the green data plate on the transmission (just forward of the left axle) and the numbers on your TCU (TCM).
The data plate will look like this:
The Transmission control module is located here, and has model and programming details printed on it:

You've changed a TCU with Sport mode (FUM 2001-2002) for an earlier one without Sport mode (FBE 2000-2001) so the TCU is programmed for PRND432.
Some research shows that FUM and FBE are both 01L1 variants and are mechanically identical so I suspect the sole difference between the two codes is the TCU software, updated in July 2001 to have Sport mode (PRNDS). Normally you can't swap TCUs because they are hard-coded for the transmission ratios, but with the two having identical ratios I would try re-fitting the FUM TCU and see how it behaves. There is a good chance it will work just fine and give you PRNDS back.
If it doesn't though, then you will have to live with it as there are no coding options to change that stuff. Its all ECU firmware.

Nice idea, but I don't think anyone has ever tried it. Some companies offer a 'tip-chip' for the 5HP19FL (A4 & A6) to sharpen up shift points etc but I don't know if that was a physical ROM swap or if the TCU is flashable. Either way, I doubt anyone has tried a complete firmware swap. Much easier to just put the right transmission in
Try the old TCU and let us know what happens...
