Trunk indicator, false open.(solved)
Anyone delt with this? I'm assuming one of the two switches along the bottom edge of the trunk lid failed? (poor assumption, not switches)
No replies..found out in the latch is a switch that the internal actuator failed. Disconnect switch and no more error, just no trunk lights. Got a few ideas that can wait until spring.

Interesting that I find this now. Was going to buy an '01 S8 Saturday. Waited until this AM to take delivery. Drove the car Saturday no issue. Today the trunk indicator comes on. Not a HUGE issue for me, just one of those little things. I may have to try the same thing...
