What are these hoses for. I have a slow coolant leak coming from these.

What are these hoses for. I have a slow coolant leak coming from these.

I only noticed the leak because the low coolant sign appeared on my display as I took a left turn. Never happened on right turns though. Obviously some sort of coolant level sensor was tripped. When I checked the coolant level, it was below minimum, so I added more of the Pentosin red accordingly. A quick test drive and all is ok. Keep in mind I don't see any drips or any physical leaks coming from this area. What are these hoses for that lead into the firewall? What needs to be done to rectify this? Replace o-rings?
Below are pics of the hoses. You can see the caked up residue left behind from the coolant loss on the hose.
