AC Issue
I have a 2007 A8L with 92,000 miles and the solar sunroof option and separate rear climate control. A few weeks ago I noticed when I started the car and it was pretty warm outside, the AC blowers were not working no matter how I adjusted the temp. A few minutes later it kicked on. Same thing happened about a week later. Today, I happened again and no air blew out for a good 10 minutes while I was driving, then it kicked on but only blew out hot air even though I had the climate dialed all the way down. Finally after about 2 minutes or so, their air got cold again. What could be the issue? I had my AC system recharged less than 3 months ago.

Another HVAC blower fan w/ solar roof biting the dust...
Unfortunately, you fall right into what has become a pretty confirmed pattern I identified on the board a while ago. Net, Audis with solar roofs seem to take a toll on the blower fan for HVAC. Fix is a replacement fan (or brushes if you want to get into the deep DIY stuff).
Search and you will find posts on it several times in the past year, with various solar roof owners confirming. I had one on my 2000 A6 4.2 and it needed a new fan twice over the almost 15 years I owned it. The problem with the solar set up seems to be the fan runs way more than regular driving use. It uses the main fan, not some auxiliary blower. For example, I run a tank of gas over about 12 hours per the trip computer display. Takes me a week or two to burn it. Well, that's a day or two in the sun parked. Presto, way more fan wear. Art in Engineering apparently didn't think through the basic wear issue here. Anyway, reading your post and symptoms it sounds like yet another in the now pretty clear pattern.
