Anyone replace the O2 sensor with a universal from Bosch?
Bosch is the OES so you can get the exact fit one, including correct connector color coding and cable length. As you say, priced under $100. I got from Amazon. If I got for W12, certainly you can get for 4.2.
Search carefully for part #'s. I also posted previously on how to take the "long" Bosch part # you will find on your current Audi sensor and decode it into the 5 digit "short" part # used for Bosch sensors. With one W12 sensor I struggled on part # and AutohausAZ's listings were wrong. Ultimately rather than pulling the sensor first to see the #, I went on German Ebay and found a listing for one that either had the long Bosch number included (Germans love to be precise...
) and/or had a picture where you could see it. Then I just converted it to the 5 digit equivalent code and ordered up. Sure enough, matched up by long part # too once I pulled the old one with new one in hand to finish job on the spot.
