I am having a little problem with my D3 131k miles it’s a 04 I baby it a few days ago the climate control just stopped working though the off button was stuck that wasn’t it found a donor A8 at the junkyard today took the climate control out of that one plugged it up to mines and same result........only the defroster comes on if I turn the car off and then back on again the system will illuminate for about 2 seconds and go blank again any thoughts?
I took it to a Audi specialist he said 3000 he told me my MMI AND CLIMATIC controls have to be changed MMI works perfectly never gets stuck comes up and down still no ac and heat I’m posting the codes he gave me 3000 is something I would of spent until he told me that it was only a maybe and since the parts are coming from the dealer they are non refundable so I asked for my keys can’t gamble on a maybe can I get some of you guys feedback?
You need to put your old HVAC controller back in, then run a scan again to find the true fault codes. The replacement controller you put in is locked out (component protection) as it’s from another car.
And you need to use an Audi specific scan tool to get accurate results. Carista, OBDELEVEN or VCDS. That printout looks to be a generic code reader.
