D3 bleeding procedure
Just changed the WP and thermostat and can't get the gauge to budge. I have the heat on high (it's hot) and both bleeder screws have coolant coming out. The top radiator hose is hot but the bottom is cold. Because the car thinks its overheating, both fans come on and are supercooling it at idle. Those fans throw an unreal amount of air...
I might have caused an airlock because I opened the bleeder screws after I added a bunch of coolant. I guess your supposed to open those first and then ADD. Car has run about 15 minutes so I'm starting to get worried that I might have a bad thermostat. I just re-opened the valves and cap and letting it sit for a while.

I went into measuring blocks to see what the temp really was but before I did that there was a code saying "engine temp too low".
Looked at the temp in vag-com and it was 92c which is just fine. After I did that, I looked down and the gauge was dead center. Is there some sort of adapation sequence I should have run? I've gone out a couple of times now and turned the key and the gauge still registers but getting lower as it cools.
So, vag-com woke up the gauge but I'm still not exactly sure what happened.
