The stickiness is whatever got spilled in there thickening up so getting rid of that (usually a carbonated, sugary drink) will fix the tactile issue. From there, cleaning the board with a true circuit board cleaner will ensure proper continued operation. I'm on one year with mine and it was pretty bad. Several buttons were stuck and the board had noticeable corrosion on it.

And, yes some topics are repeated a lot. I searched "replace center console" and this post was top of the returns.
This is a very nice PDF with pics. The project is for the wood trim replacement (I think), but the center console is part of the removal and replacement process. It's very well written. You will find a lot of really good write-ups on this forum.

You'll need to take the unit apart to fix the problem as it's not the actual switches that generally stick; it's the sides of the buttons and the holes that the buttons go through. These areas will be "sticky".
If liquid made it into the actual housing than it's highly recommended to get a contact cleaner and to take care of any visible liquid damage or corrosion. This can (and generally will) lead to the actual switches failing if not properly cleaned.
