Default TPMS Frequency change ?

I placed this on the VAG COM forum but no replies.

Anyone here know the answer?

Can VAG COM reprogram receiver frequency on the TPMS system?

I have an 07 D3 S8 which is setup at 315 mhz.
My winter wheels are from an 08 S6 with 433 mhz transmitters.
So TPMS warning is always popping up

Can the receiver be setup to the 433 with a code change, or is it
locked at whatever frequency is installed in the car and displays the current configuration?
Should I just
disable the TPMS?

I haven't bought a VAG COM yet, so can't experiment

See below for info I found on Ross Tech Wiki for the TPMS

Coding

0?xxxxx: Manufacturer
2 = Audi
0x?xxxx: Type
0 = System Disabled
1 = Rest of World (RoW) @ 433 MHz
2 = Rest of World (RoW) @ 315 MHz
3 = North American Region (NAR) @ 433 MHz
4 = North American Region (NAR) @ 315 MHz
5 = Rest of World (RoW) @ 433 MHz with Run Flat Tires
6 = Rest of World (RoW) @ 315 MHz with Run Flat Tires

thanks

So to change the receiver to 433mhz code should be modified to read 023xxxx ?

Switching back to 315mhz would be 024xxxx?

Sorry I am a bit challenged on this stuff.

Thanks for your patience

Default Follow up question

I assume for a U.S. A8L (2009) 315 or 433 mHz would either one work? I need replacements and the dealer's quote of $208 apiece has me looking around. The tire dealer's sensors keep dropping out and do not provide individual tire pressure or temperature when they are working.

Lots of aftermarket sensors around now. OE was Beru (now Hut) if you want those. Rock Auto must have 10 flavors of them. You would need VCDS or equivalent to change the frequency, so why fool with that?
