Vag Settings For Fog Light Options
So the main difference of this mod is it uses your standard xenons, fogs and the halogen highbeams at once.
VS. Using the High beam xenons only while cancelling out the fogs.

Maybe the 'Rest Of the World' drives quicker than the USA and thus requires more light actually on the road, as opposed to just looking pretty to oncoming traffic.
Can't help thinking that D4 all-LED style lights would be cool though.
Hey Jake, fancy donating your headlamps for an experiment?

I'm all for personal preferences, and mine is to be able to see where I'm going....

BTW, all consumption figures remained in MPG and I haven't seen any other changes... yet.
Now, how do I aim the Halogens?

Will let you find the right hand one.
Several of us have/had this ROW setting, there's another thread somewhere related to door chime.
While it lights up the world, I always thought the halogens made the light look "muddy".

Not checked the door chime, will do. While I agree that the look of the halogens isn't as clean as the xenons (although light range on mine has always been shockingly poor), I do like the amount of light they (halogens) put out, and I'd rather it looks muddy, than actually gets muddy because I haven't been able to see the deer/curve/pothole/Rose in a Buick etc...
Oh wait, wasn't Mishar away for a month?

There is a ton more light when set to ROW.
But as someone pointed out in another thread it's not exactly DOT legal in the States.
Don't be surprised at reports of 4-ringed UFO's if you drive down country roads like that
So if I buy the left one, they're yours for the taking...

I understand that ROW isn't exactly legal in the States, but neither is a buck twenty/thirty/forty on the freeway....
I'm happy to take my chances on not having DOT legal lights. Surely there can't be another cop as anally retentive as me in the same state? Can there, huh?

Too bad they're not full LED like the über expensive one in the other link.
I'd be concerned they would actually fit the sheet metal though.
Edit: And this is my 1,000th post. No you didn't win anything
