Jake, you really are to be commended for the way you unobtrusively advertise on the forum. It's the main reason I don't even look anywhere else when I need parts.
Only thing that would make your site better is if the Audi part number search worked better, but hey, that's what google is for!
Thank you very much aTOMic*, I take your complement very seriously and appreciate it greatly! I have many years of customer service experience under my belt which helps but credit is due to the entire team here, that is just how we do business. We are constantly working on the interface with the parts lookup system to make it more user friendly, it is an uphill battle but we will win soon enough! Thank you again for the amazing complement and for your continued business, we love our forum customers!!

aTOMic*, sorry I was busy patting myself on the back but yes, it is the same through 2010.

I polished away on mine today, and they look almost new. I waxed the resulting finish, but we'll see how long this lasts.....

What did you use for polishing?

I compared aluminium film with the original trim at it was much more shiny. So covering the original trim is possible but I decided to leave it since it out-shined all of the original aluminium trim pieces and wouldn't give the OEM look I like.

I used 3M Finesse It Machine Polish, but any good polishing compound will work just fine.

Like I said, they look good for now, but I"m quite positive that I burned through whatever was left of the original protective surface, so from here out, unless you stay on top of it, it's not going to be pretty.
