Windshield question
I have about an 1/8" diameter gouge in my windshield, likely from a small rock. Can this be fixed, or do I have to spring for a new windshield? Also, how difficult is it to replace the amber right front directional signal/lens?

Rock chips can be easily patched and frequently are not visible once patched. Check out auto glass repair firms. Many times your insurance company will cover this without payment since this is better than them having to pay for a replacement windscreen.

Rings advice is correct but act quickly before a crack develops. If you ..
need a new screen, my experience was that in this case, Audi OEM is the lowest price by a couple of hundred bucks vs a third party alternative.

2nd replacement- 3rd windshield
I am about to have my 3rd windshield put in later this week. Both times chips became cracks beyond quarter size. Good thing I have full glass coverage on insurance! If I could have, I would have had repaired. I have had great luck with this type of repair in the past.
