A8L drivers side headlight

I have a 2005 A8L and have had trouble with the drivers side headlight. I replaced the low beam bulb 4 times and each time it burned out w/in a day. I also replaced the headlamp assembly and ballast. The light still doesn't work. I switched the bulb and ballast to passenger side and they work fine. Has anyone dealt with this before or know how to fix it? Could it be the wiring harness?
