A/C Problems
Hey everyone
Just took my S8 on it's first real trip... VERY unfortunately from Michigan to Miami to take a cruise during spring break(!). At any rate, driving in all the rain two days ago from Detroit to Nashville was awesome except for one big thing... A/C was mostly inoperable and in all that rain I had some trouble keeping the windows defogged. It did work a very small amount of the time though, I could feel a small shudder when the compressor was able to engage. I'm in Miami now so I haven't had the chance to take it in yet. Yesterday it SEEMED to be better although it's hard to know as the temp didn't rise above 75°.
I should have checked to see if any Miami forum members had ideas of where I could safely leave it for a week. Oh well.

I have not seen any post regarding AC issues. If not taking it to the dealer use Yelp to help you find a reputable German car shop. Really is a useful way to find a business with good ratings.

What I was thinking is to use Yelp to find a shop in Miami to help diagnose. The most common problem is a leak and loss of freon. I would not run the system with if low on freon as those could burn out the compressor.
