Default Differential module position
Please can someone help me find where the 4wd control module is on my audi a8 d4 2010 4.2 tdi. The module part number is: 4h0 907 163

I think this module is located in the trunk, left side spare wheel well.

You need to look under the trunk floor, peel back the carpet underneath the spare tire.

Just confirming, you mean for a sport differential option set up, correct? If it is conventional rear diff and Quattro, there should not be any control module. All mechanical in that case AFAIK.

The best way to access it is to remove the left side trunk wall/liner then lift the left rear corner of the bottom carpet/trim and you’ll see it in the spare tire well.
