Does your iPod ami show album art?
Guys on the new A7 and A6 forum want to know. Like me. There is a red grommet iPod cable that allows this. Some have gotten it but require different software for it to work. We're very curious as to what software you're running if it works. Thanks.

I tried the cable on my 8 and it didn't work. It was in the workshop this week (exhaust manifold pressure sensor was faulty) and I asked if they could update the MMI s/w. There wasn't any updates, so it'll only work on the A6/7 for now, unless the latest 8 supports it.

Guys, I bought the connector with the red grommet based on that same A6/A7 forum. I can confirm that it *does not* work on the A8.
Now I gotta unload it to someone with an A7!!
To get album art, you'll need to transfer you iPod music to an SD card. There's a playlist hiccup which you have to convert which is somewhat of a pain but not too bad. The benefit of the SD card though is that I think the sound quality is better, because the MMI is not converting the digital signal like it otherwise has to do with an iPod or iPhone.
Now I gotta unload it to someone with an A7!!
