front parking sensor replacement
anyone have a tip/trick to swapping out the side sensors on this car?
...or a DIY on front bumper removal?
my front parking system is throwing an error, due to a believed bad sensor.
I have a pair of replacements I want to pop in, but dreading taking of the front end.
thanks for the help!

Taking off the front end is not so bad, but I'm fairly certain is required for the sensor replacement. Alldata had a good explanation of it, but my access expired, else I'd give you a proper rundown. The how to for the D3 shouldn't be used for your D4, it's just different enough to cause potential mistakes in the bumper removal.

I'm certain I posted on how to do it a couple years ago, but I can't find it. The only bolts not visible after removing the belly pans are the two on each side holding the bumper to the fender. After removing those, the bumper is actually snapped in place and needs to be unsnapped by pulling straight away from the body before the bumper can be pulled forward and off the car. The grill is attached to the bumper, so that will come off with it and needs to be unbolted from the body of the car at the top. Total bolts that need to be undone are 4-6 under the hood, 6-8 under the car, and 2 on each side bolting the bumper to the fender. After all those are undone and it's unsnapped, it comes off very easily. If you are mechanically inclined, you can probably wing this one.
