Best look so far of the new length of the upcoming D5 A8L. Motor 1 enhanced the brightness of the D5 sideview teaser pic of a couple of weeks ago to highlight the increased length of the rear doors/rear cabin. Compare to pic of my D4 A8L...I know that the new gen will be a little larger, but perhaps the rear door appears even larger due to it being extended ending back into the rear wheel well (see below pics). We shall see when the new car's dimensions are revealed on 7/11---A week from today!

Also, here's a round-up of what we know (or surmise) at this point about what is coming in the D5:

From MOTOR 1:

- laser headlights
- increased wheelbase
- matrix OLED tail lights
- foot massage from the seat in front of rear passenger
- second-generation Audi Virtual Cockpit
- active suspension that will automatically pre-adjust itself before driving over a pothole,
similar to Mercedes’ Active Body Control
- haptic touch panel to control the climate settings
- rear seat console touch-sensitive screen
- complex semi-autonomous driving system (which will be smart enough to park the car on
its own without a driver in it...the A8 will be able to not only go forwards or backwards to
occupy a vacant parking spot, but to also turn around without any human input)
- advanced coasting function, enabling the new A8 to be driven with the engine off at speeds
of up to 100 mph to save fuel.
- all versions of the D5 will benefit as standard from a mild hybrid system.

With Spiderman coming out first, I'm sure every shot it appears will be readily available before then! It still is looking like an evolution of the current D4 so far, but only the final reveal will tell.
