Dash leather coming loose 2019 A8
Has anyone had this problem? I purchased a new to me 19 A8 in Jan this year. About 2 months ago it started to loosen in the middle of the dash. I asked the dealer and he stated that this would be approximately $6000. To replace. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I love the car, but not 6000 worth.

Thanks for the pics. No, that's not good. Hopefully a pro auto upholsterer can resolve it. Instrument panel removal is probably a PITA, but likely required. It would be a shame (and ridiculously costly) to have to replace with a whole new leather top. I wonder if some external event beyond "normal" wear did that.

It's due to poorly performing adhesives. Limiting sun exposure should help but I think over time it's still going to happen. I always tint my front windshield which should also help.

Common problem across brands. The G12 7 series is notorious and arguably much worse off with this problem, check the forums.
Thankfully I have a very reasonable leather guy that deals with minor scuffs that the dealer employs who has never charged me more than a couple of notes to keep interior looking brand new, especially on my Napa Ivory interior on the G12. If you are friends with your SA I hey might share the number of their leather guy, which IMO is the best option.
