Found VSS. It was not where Audi said it was (shocking as this seems!)If you ever have the need to replace the VSS on your 1991 Audi 100 Automatic, it is on the right side (passenger side) of the engine bay, back near the firewall. It's a bugger to get at unless you have fancy "Cat in the Hat@" tools that articulate in all directions. Plugged 'er back in and now my speedometer/odometer is on speaking terms with the car again. Chapter closed. Now I hear a humming coming from the front left wheel...hmmm. It always something, right sports fans!
