AC Dead Again HELP!!!!
Get an oldschool sniffer that does both R12 and R134a, and then you can run the wand all over the place and you'll find the leak(s). The one in the ebay link below is what I've always used. Super sensitive and one it freaks out and finds a leak, you can turn it off and back on quickly to make it less sensative and really help you pinpoint the exact location.
Yes, you could have an evaporator that's leaking. Pretty easy to test for it....sniff the vents in the car with a sniffer, and put it in recirc mode, or open the recirc flap by hand and sniff up in there with the system off.
I know it can be frustrating. Hang in there, you'll get it.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Halogen-Freon-Refrigerant-Leak-Detector-HVAC-HFC_W0QQitemZ200112557231QQihZ010QQcategoryZ53298Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem">Sniff, sniff</a></li></ul>
