ECU problem? Help!
The oil sensor came on w/ check engine light and the tachometer stoped working. I took it to the shop and they replaced the oil sensor that seems to take care of that problem. However, the tachometer is still not working and the transmission doesn't seem to shift pass 3rd or 4th gear because I hear the engine rev up quite a bit. They told me I have a bad ECU that's conttrolling and causing these problem. Is this correct? Can some one please help? Thanks a lot!

Re: What year is your car? You need to get codes read if it's >= 94 IIRC.
1994 100CS V6 2.8. After I posted my message a couple days ago, the tachometer suddenly decided to work again but I can see the check engine light flips on/off occassionally. It comes on briefly a few times when I start the engine but it goes off after that. One thing I've noticed during driving sometimes it feels like it's halting and coming back right away. Does this seem to be the ECU related? Thanks!
