Default Electrical problem and engine lite problem

My wife who drives our 94 100S everyday, told me last nite that for the past two days the sunroof has tilted in the rear by itself, with no intervention on her part. Also, she said the engine pollution (?) lite came on yesterday morning on her way to work, but did not come on the return trip in the afternoon. I asked my son to check the oil in the car on Sunday, he said it need two quarts? Even thought I am laid up with pneumonia I went out a check and sure enough the oil level barely registered on the dip stick, this has never happened in almost 100K miles of driving, so I suspect an oil leak. My son ran down got two quart of oil and when he put it in I told him to put a quart in then check the level, if it wasn't enough pour 1/2 quart of the second and check, well he didn't do that and poured the entire second quart in, now the dipstick shows overfilled, would this trip the dash lite? Also any ideas on the sunroof?

Check engine light may be due to the Oxygen sensors being ready for replacement. If these haven't been done in the past 60k miles, that may be your best guess.

The electrical issue on the sunroof is the switch up at the panel by the dial in the roof. Mine has a similar problem when I dial open the roof all the way -- it slides back, then continues moving back and forth about 3-4". I close it, then open it again and the problem is solved.

Worst part with your would be in driving or parking in the rain when it happens.... Not good.

In regards to the sunroof tilting all by itself, this is what I did. I pulled out the switch and took it all apart...something that you are not supposed to do of course but with a lot of care not to break it when I took it apart I put all the pieces that had to do with electrical contacts and sprayed them real good with contact cleaner...do not go cheap on the contact cleaner either, I was able to locate some comercial stuff, sprayed it up and let it sit in the cleaner for a while. I put everything back together and never had the problem again. Hope this will work for you too!
